Participants:

  • Céline Restrepo Zea (UNIL): SIG co-leader
  • Elisabeth Berg (UZH): SIG co-leader
  • Andreas Hediger (iFEL): co-leader Sharing experience group
  • Patrick Roth (UNIGE): leader AAA-infrastructure project group
  • Rolf Brugger (SWITCH): resource person
  • Stefan Keller (UZH): guest

Status reports:

Sharing experience group:

Due to several reasons, the planned ePortfolio had to be postponed. Instead, a workshop on learning outcomes/competence grids will be held.

AAA-infrastructure group:

Development of a Shibboleth-module for Mahara. This module has two functionalities:

  • Authentication AAI inducing the automatic opening of an account in Mahara.
  • The teacher must demand a group-account for a course on Mahara. When a student enters Mahara for the first time, the specific course must be indicated. An account for the student will be created, but it will only become active if the teacher already has demanded an ePortfolio for the course named by the student (solution actually in use at Unige).

Launching of a pre-study to map the needs of Swiss universities regarding ePortfolios.

  • TECFA has prepared a questionnaire and Johan Lüthi, a student at TECFA, is in charge of collecting information, based on the survey made by the SIG ePortfolio this spring.
  • This new survey will be used to document actual Swiss projects in the SIG’s wiki (by Johan Lüthi)

Eduhub days:

During the Eduhub days, we propose that, during Petra’s presentation of AAA projects in plenum, Patrick gets 3-4 minutes to present Unige’s AAA-project which will be submited in Oktober.

During three consecutive slots of 20 minutes each, we would like to discuss the following :

  • Patrick: AAA project (origin, feedback questionnaire, milestones)
  • Andreas and Martin : The importance of formulating educational goals in terms of competences to be acquired. Theoretical basis for the practical workshop to follow.
  • Céline and Nadia : recommandations concerning the ePortfolio procedure.
