Remote peer exchange: new tools and modalities

Remote meetings over video-conference have grown exponentially in the last two years, not least due to the global pandemic. New skills are required to come to terms with this situation, as classical formats often prove unsatisfactory when they are merely transfered "as is" to a remote setting, without further adaptation. In particular, meetings which primarily focus on the exchange of experiences – e.g. presentation of projects, discussion of best practices, brainstorming, debates about trends – can be substantially enriched when new tools and modalities are used in addition to, or instead of, the traditional PowerPoint presentation followed by a Q&A.

In this webinar, the Educations Technologies (Bildungstechnologien) of the University of Basel reflect about their experience in the past two years and propose a discussion about new tools and modalities for remote peer exchange, such as flipped meeting, exchange in small groups, collaborative writing, collective mind-mapping.
