MOOCs at Swiss Higher Education Institutions

Last update: July 2017

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are freely available online-courses, offered by universities worldwide. MOOCs have been coming up in Switzerland since around 2012, with the EPFL and their MOOC Factory as precursor in the Swiss Academic Community. MOOCs usually feature a very high number of participants. To enroll in a MOOC, no graduation, certificates or any other formal qualifications are necessary. In this overview we list the MOOC platforms currently used at Swiss Higher Education Institutions.
