eduhub is the Swiss e-Learning Community for new learning technologies at Swiss Higher Education Institutions. The aim of eduhub is to implement sustainable IT-based methods in academic teaching, to exchange experiences and to promote collaboration. Currently, the community numbers around 900 active members (last update: February 2017).
eduhub is lead by the Educational Technology Working Group (ETWG) which consists of the leaders of the e-Learning Support Centres at Swiss Higher Education Institutions, as well as the Special Interest Groups, which are lead by active members of the Swiss e-Learning Community eduhub.
eduhub is coordinated and funded by SWITCH, the Swiss National Research and Education Network (NREN).
SWITCH created eduhub in 2008 to offer networking and assistance to e-learning specialists from all Swiss universities – lecturers, researchers, e-learning support staff and anyone else with an interest in the subject and employed at Swiss Higher Education Institutions.
The Educational Technology Working Group (ETWG) was founded by the e-Learning Support Centres of Swiss Higher Education Institutions. The aim of this group is to coordinate activities, discuss political issues and develop common strategic plans for the Swiss e-Learning Community eduhub.
The Special Interest Groups (SIG) are theme-based and self-organised and meet several times a year to implement common goals. They are inter-institutional and open for all members of Swiss Higher Education Institutions. Currently there are seven active SIGs:
The Swiss Academic Moodle Community (SAMoo) was created by eduhub in 2010 and is a platform for Moodle users at Swiss Higher Education Institutions. SAMoo meets one to two times a year. Check out when the next meetings will be here:
