How to become a master in SWITCHdrive

SWITCHdrive has become the standard sync and share tool of Swiss Higher Education Institutions. it is easy to use and pretty powerful, but synchronising and sharing data can be tough, and technology isn't always making it easier. But once you have mastered the learning curve, syncing and sharing your files is a snap.

Sharing data in SWITCHdrive can be confusing, especially when you are new to this tool. In this webinar we will show you how to master SWITCHdrive quickly and how to always keep control of your data, not only of the data that you have shared with others, but also data that you have received from others.

The webinar will be split in the following parts:

1. Short introduction to new features of SWITCHdrive.
2. Live demo:
   • How to correctly setup synchronisation (and what to do when it does not sync)
   • How to optimise organisation of your SWITCHdrive folder
   • How to securely share data with other users
   • How to correctly set sharing permissions (and their effects to a receiver of a share)
   • How to effectively collaborate with other users
3. Questions and answers (and where you can find more help if you're stuck)

To participate in this webinar your institution sould ideally have access to SWITCHdrive. You should already have created your SWITCHdrive account and you should also be familiar with some basic features of SWTCHdrive.
