SIG Digital Collaboration

Open source web conference tool, idea board and social voting

In this online activity we experience online collaboration in interaction with three different digital tools:

  • Jitsi, an open source web conferencing tool that is freely available and runs on all popular platforms.
  • Scrumblr, a freely available idea board where you can collaboratively insert slips of paper.
  • Tricider, a so-called "social voting tool", with which you can collect ideas that can then be discussed online. Finally, you can vote on the ideas. Tricider can be used well if a complex question is to be discussed in detail online.

We hold the meeting with the open source web conference tool Jitsi, collect ideas with the idea board scrumblr and evaluate ideas with the social voting tool tricider. All tools are free of charge and can be used without registration.

If you would like to participate in this online activity, please register below. We will start the meeting in SWITCHinteract, then we will switch to the web tools mentioned above.

At the beginning of the meeting, the SIG leader Willi Bernhard will briefly explain how to get into Jitsi and what we are going to experience there.
