The motto of the eduhub days 2011 is "The challenge of open ideas": Should institutions of higher education opt for open or rather closed systems? What are the challenges and potentials of open systems for learners, lecturers and institutions?
Should open systems be integrated in existing (closed) systems, supplement or replace these? What is the potential of social software in higher education? What are the advantages of personal learning environments versus virtual learning environments? Will open educational resources become a relevant factor in the education market? What can we expect in the future? Such and many other questions will be presented and discussed at the eduhub days 2011.
