myple.ch

Higher education students work with their own personal learning environment (PLE). PLE environments can be understood as a technology: platforms where students 1) create online spaces, 2) exchange resources and 3) develop work activities.

PLEs can also be understood as a learning activity: how students develop their personal collection of tools and of working methods in order to perform their learning tasks (research of information, scientific document writing, oral presentation, team collaboration, etc.).

The online resource myple.ch is done to support students during their development and become able working better and faster. It is aimed at helping students to 1) discover new ICT tools, 2) choose tools adequate for their tasks and 3) deepen their use of the chosen tools.

During this webinar, we will explain shortly what a PLE is and why we decided to work on myple.ch. Then we will present the resources that are available in myple.ch: 1) description of learning tasks into (scenarios) and 2) helping documents about ICT tools which can help performing these tasks (tools comparisons and tutorials).

Afterwards, we will present how the University of Fribourg is currently using myple.ch (autonomous access, workshop resource, course support).
