SEB user exchange: resource-rich online examinations with third party applications

ETH Zurich conducts a large number of high-stakes online examinations with Moodle and Safe Exam Browser (SEB). Supplementing this setup with third party applications such as R-Studio or Matlab strongly improves the constructive alignment of learning objectives, learning activities and examinations. Including third party applications in examinations requires students to apply real-life competencies in examinations and makes examinations more meaningful for both lecturers and students.

In this webinar, Samuel Witzig and Daniel Schneider from ETH Zurich will give an overview of the robust, secure and fraud-proof setup of ETH Zurich to conduct fair high-stakes online examinations with SEB, Moodle and third-party applications. The overview includes organisational and technical aspects of the managed setup ETH Zurich has been using successfully for many years.
