Learning analytics and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are two buzzwords of the research field technology enhanced learning. So on the one hand there are big data and on the other side are a "massive" amount of learners. Bringing this together may lead to new knowledge about how online learning is happening.
In this talk a detailed and critical overview will be given to show how learning analytics can support future MOOC-learners as well as the future MOOC-users.
